Our History
More than 30 years ago, Emeterio and Pepa opened the doors of El Rincón de Emeterio right on the Carretera de Madrid in Alcolea. They founded it with a very simple philosophy: to create a place where everyone who crosses the door feels right at home.
We are a traditional café-bar committed to friendly service, lovingly prepared food and traditional recipes that never fail. We are passionate about our region's gastronomy and work hard every day to ensure you enjoy the authentic taste of Córdoba.
Through the time and effort of all these decades, we have become a meeting point for locals and visitors alike. Whether it is for our generous meats, our spectacular XXL Flamenquín, or for having won the affection of the people as «El Famoso Bar de las Tortitas» (The Famous Pancake Bar), our greatest reward is seeing you enjoy yourself at our table.
Today, their son Emeterio has taken the reins of the business, proudly continuing his parents' legacy. With the same dedication as always and keeping the essence with which Emeterio and Pepa started completely intact, we are still going strong. Whether it's for tapas, a family meal or treating yourself at the weekend, you will always have your own corner here.
Our specialism
In case you didn't already know, we are known throughout Alcolea as «The Famous Pancake Bar». A sweet, fluffy and homemade treat that we prepare fresh to order so you can enjoy the best afternoon tea. That said, good things come to those who wait: we only make them at weekends from 17:00. Make a note of the plan and come treat yourself to the indulgence you deserve!
